Meet Dr. Thuy Yath, OD

Thuy Yath, OD, is a formally trained optometrist providing outstanding vision care to patients of all ages at Better Vision Eyecare in Anthem, Arizona. She is among the best practitioners in the Phoenix area, possessing an unrivaled reputation among her colleagues and the community.

Dr. Yath received her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.

To increase her experience, Dr. Yath completed rotations in Veterans Affairs hospitals across the country and undertook missionary trips providing eye care to people in underprivileged communities. These experiences enabled Dr. Yath to improve her patient communication skills and develop the welcoming, compassionate manner for which she’s now so well-known.

As one of the area’s few eye doctors certified in specialty contact lenses, Dr. Yath can fit scleral, soft, and rigid gas permeable lenses and is an expert in orthokeratology (reshaping the eye’s cornea with contact lenses). Her expertise extends to myopia (nearsightedness) management, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye care, bringing much-needed skills to the community of Anthem.
